Democratization in Puntland (direct participation of people in the political process through free choice in multi-political parties) starts with a genuine commitment to and belief in something bigger than oneself, devoid of any consideration for self-interest and political expediency of the power and government of the day. The legacy of it is something worthy fighting for, for the sake of contribution to humanity and human progress. Not doing this after 17 years of statehood is truely mediocrity.
